Unweighted 3.0 GPA, however I have 3 years left and my attitude about school is completely different so I calculated what my GPA would be senior year if I managed straight A's for the rest of high school and it came out at 3.75 unweighted.

I have 173 volunteer hours, no EC's though I am seriously considering joining some clubs (if those count as EC's)

Obviously no SAT/ACT scores

Oh and I'm OOS from UCSB, which I have read both that it makes my chances slimmer due to not being IN state as well as making my chances larger as I they will accept for the money they'll be getting...

Idk I'm just a stressed out little teenager wanting to go to my dream school so anyone help?:(

^ Not necessarily true, if you’re a borderline candidate for admission they may ask for spring/ fall grades during senior year, so don’t slack off. I know personally that UCI and UCSD asked me to send them my grades. (It was optional though) I didn’t send them into UCI and I was still accepted but in hindsight I think I just got lucky. I will be attending UCSB this fall and I think you have a good shot if you keep your GPA up, and do well on the SAT.

Wasn’t planning on slacking off its just that I really screwed up freshmen year… And Thank you:) hopefully I can call myself a fellow gaucho in a few years

“So wait if I made all a’s sophomore and junior year my UC GPA would be 4.0!!! Completely disregarding what I make freshmen and senior year???”

Yes, that is absolutely correct. If you got straight C’s freshman year, then all A-'s soph and jr years (in case you didn’t know, UCs also do not count +'s and -'s), then C’s senior year, your UC gpa would be 4.0 (assuming no AP/honors classes). Of course, there are several reasons why you wouldn’t want to aim to do this, but your UC gpa is what it is at the end of junior year.
