Did I do the right thing here?

So I have to get each one of my teachers to fill out a midterm grade report. Uusally when they fill it out, they look up my grade, and then record it and sign it. However, when I gave it to my computer science teacher, he straight out asked me, what are you getting. I am actually getting a B, but I considered telling him I am getting an A, but in the end I told him that I am getting a B. Now, the way he lets is know what our grades are is at the beginning of the year, he assigned us with a number(not our school ID) that would correspond with our name. At the beginning of each class, he presents us with a spread sheet of the grades and ID numbers, so this is how we know our grades. Now, I tell him I am getting a B, and he goes are you sure. At which point I say yes, I can even show you, and then he goes, no, thats ok. Now, I think that I can get an A in the class, but it is also possible that I can get a C in it as well. Do you think I did tyhe right thing in telling him my real grade?

Absolutely not.

lol what kinda question is this

it doesnt really matter
honestly, a or b...one mid-semester grade will not drastically effect your decision. if they want you, they want you, even if you have an a, a b, or probably even a c.

midterm grades don't matter?

actually I've heard that for a good deal of applicants they don't look at the midterm grades. It's used more as a factor for applicants on the fence.

btw, if I lied in that situation I would probably have a heart attack when he asks me "Are you sure?" lol
