Did I get lucky by getting into rutgers business school?

I have a 3.38 weighted GPA and 2170 SAT, and I found out a few weeks ago that I got accepted into Rutgers school of arts and sciences and Rutgers business school. A few days ago, I also found of a few of my classmates, with weighted gpas higher than me (3.5, 3.6) got into SAS but not the business school. I think literally everybody gets into SAS if you have at least a 3 GPA, but is rutgers business school more difficult to get in? And if so, was I lucky or does it make sense according to my stats?

Well - your SAT score is very high and you probably had some good ECs so I think it would make sense. Do you know their SAT/ACT scores and ECs? That probably affected their acceptance to the business school.

It was meant to be…lucky? Yes, but its not luck…who ever admitted you must be in such a great mood that you got accepted for both…plus the admitting committee probably loved your essay & ec’s- congrats! do good with your decisions, do great with your career!
You r wrong with any 3.0 plus gpa being accepted at NB CAS, my son had higher gpa than your friends but unforturnately waitlisted at NB CAS, he applied oct 23 early decision by the time they viewed his credentials the slots for NB CAS was filled up already bec the decision for him got released Feb 1.
Unfortunate? Not really! We look at it as a blessing! He will be going to RU nwk campus instead where they admitted him, makes our decision now a lot easier, we will pay less bec he will be able to commute and not spend room/ board on top of tuition. After undergrad, he goes to grad school, He’s acceptance to nwk campus will be the only choice but a wise & smart choice For him, everything happens for a reason…
Be happy that u have a choice with your admittance to two depts., make a smart choice & do good! You’ve been blessed!
