Hi,

I'm a junior right now in dual-enrollment and need to decide really soon if I'll stick with the dual enrollment or go back to the high school next year.

The dual-enrollment program I'm in this year has been pretty much amazing. I have amazing professors, more responsible/mature peers, and just enjoy the courses a lot more. However, now as I look back I'm wondering if I made the wrong choice...

I've read that dual-enrollment is not as good as AP. My high school offers 10-12 AP classes, but I hated the AP class I took last year and had heard some pretty bad things about the others. Mainly, they're overcrowded, unchallenging (I probably had about an hour of homework each week for AP Euro last year), and quite frankly, just boring. Deep down, I guess I feel like I made the right decision for the time but I am wondering if this will hurt me if I decide to apply to selective colleges next year? The classes I've taken this year have been pretty challenging. I won't post all of them but mainly by the time I graduate I'll have completed the calc sequence (differential, integral, multi, adv. multi, linear algebra, diff. eq) the calc-based physics sequence (mechanics, e&m, waves) and upper level physics classes at the university (thermo and modern physics!).

Will it really hurt me if I took these classes as dual-enrollment instead of APs? I could probably get back to the high school for next year, but I'd really prefer not to...
