I sent in my application, and the submitted time said "5:30:41 PST Nov.1" Am I considered a EA applicant?

Did you send everything else in before you sent in the app?

To anyone else wondering: you have to have EVERYTHING they want by november 1 in order for you to be considered EA. Sending in only the app itself does not mean you are going to be EA

^^ Wrong… Does anyone ever read their website? It is a postmark date… that means as long as any documents are postmarked before and up to Nov 1st are considered early action even if they reach the school later than Nov. 1

thats what I meant…not necessarily in before november 1 but send the stuff in before the postmark

k guys guys settle down… i sent my teacher/counselor recs, transcripts, and complete application on or before Nov.1… :D

I was just worried about the time

Actually, you could have had your materials postmarked by November 2nd and been okay o_O

i love you yosup.

what about ur SAT/ACT score: could they be postmarked by nov. 1 or do they have to be received by then?

SAT and ACT scores get sent via data download 3 times a week to larger schools like Michigan. Don’t pay extra for priority sending, I believe they call it, since the download eliminates the need to do that.

so they don’t send paper scores to the college. they send it electronically?

Yep, electronic only. Why send paper which (1) takes longer, (2) has to be manually matched to an application and (3) has to be manually entered into the computer system. Allof the larger schools get electronic downloads, processed programmatically, and automatically added to an applicant’s file.

that’s great but is there a source that verifies this. sorry, but i need to be 100% sure

When you select send, it says “Electronically”

How long have people found it takes UMich to receive SAT scores after you’ve requested them from collegeboard? (I guess I should say how long until they show as rec’d on the website.)

That’s great. Thanks!
