Did I mess up my Stanford application?

One of my teacher recs was on paper, and so I printed the mailing labels on the Stanford website. However...I was just reading over everything, and apparently they said that your letters of recommendation should be sent in a 9x12 envelope. However, the envelope I gave my teacher was a standard business envelope. Is this really going to affect my application? My teacher said he was going to be sending the letter at the end of this week (so it might already be gone...).

I'm probably just paranoid, but how much do colleges read into these little details during the admissions process?

It’s really not a big deal. Don’t sweat it :)

Auto reject… jk

If one has to play hide-and-seek with a college’s preferences, I don’t know how that college could logically hold anyone accountable for recommendations the applicant has to go find; one shouldn’t have to “find” anything, all of the information should be in front of one’s face. So if it was a preference they felt very important, it should be in big, black, bolded letters on the corresponding page.

But it’s Stanford.

Who knows.

it’s fine.
but honestly. YOU ARE ALL APPLYING TO COLLEGE. at least follow the frikin directions. this isnt a 6th grade homework assignment.

Do they specify anything for their preference of how an additional recommendation is sent? I can’t find anything anywhere.

Hahah

“I don’t like this envelope. Reject.”

C’mon, the admission peeps are regular people, too. Don’t sweat. :)

@InflatedCoin,

I called the admission office. They said there is no label, and any form is fine.
