Hey,
I am getting my teacher rec envelopes ready, and for Stanford, we are supposed to use the mailing labels, and the mailing label document says 'Cut out the label on the dotted line and affix it to a 9x12 envelope; add postage to the envelope.'
The thing is, my counselor told us that for teacher recs, use a normal #10 envelope. And the mailing label document is unclear on if the 9x12 applies to all documents or not.
What did you guys do?
Thanks

We did what Stanford said, D was accepted.

S sent sealed teacher and counselor recs in business size envelopes (with sig over the seal) and the similarly sealed transcript in the larger (9x 12)envelope with the label. This way we controlled all of the items and assured delivery to Stanford. S was accepted.

Uh, sorry, because I am new, but I do not know who S and D are...
Unless they are just people who don't want their identities revealed.

Soo. I think I will stick with the #10s for recommendations and the bigger ones for SSR.
Thanks

^ lol, parents say 's' and 'd' to represent 'son' and 'daughter'...

do whatever stanford says...

Yes, get the envelope correct and you'll be accepted. That's the real truth of Stanford admissions. It's what I plan to do come December.

Haha I didn't do what Stanford says and I was accepted too =p. I think the labels and stuff just makes it easier for the admissions staff who sort the mails. But do try to do whatever Stanford says.

took me two months to figure out.

but ofcourse do what stanford says... that doesn't mean you'll be in, but you'll have more chance than if you didn't

Where do we get the mailing labels?
