My freshman year of high school was pretty poor, my UW gpa was 3.16/4, sophomore year i brought it up to 3.81/4 with one honors class, and one AP (no extra quality points until 11th grade). For junior year my schedule is:
College in High School/AP Calculus AB
College Preparatory English 11
College in High School/AP Anatomy & Physiology
College in High School/AP US History
Spanish 3
College in Highschool/AP Chemistry
Honors Physics

My sophomore SAT is 1840, with my PSAT being 190.
Have I Ruined my chances for MIT, Carnegie Melon, Upenn? What can i expect my SAT to get to by senior year?

You’re fine. In soph year my PSAT was a 186 but after some studying I got my SAT to a 2090, and I think it is still possible for me to study over the summer and get a 2300+ as some of my practice tests were well into the 2200s. The SAT is just a system that you have to familiarize yourself with in order to do well. But seriously, you’re only a sophomore, so you have more than enough time to do the whole Blue Book.

I’d be happy anywhere in the 2200’s, i hope that 2 years of education in advanced classes and practice can bring me up to something like M800 CR750 W650

If you go to the SAT Prep part of the board, you’ll find some useful guides. Follow them and practice and your score can go way higher. An upward GPA trend is always a big plus.

As for admissions, you should want to excel because you are the type of person who excels at whatever he/she does. If you work hard and do great and get into one of those schools, then congrats. If not, you can be proud of a great body of work in high school and build off that in whatever you do afterwards.

Some schools won’t even look at writing. Just focus on math and critical reading. Figure out the format to write the essay, and then you will naturally increase with the writing.
