did i say something wrong in an essay?

in one of my essays, that i submitted,
i used the word "balls" signifying guts

i was talking about a sign in my locker room that says BHB Brains Hearts and BAlls

So i said i need the brain, the heart, and the balls to do ayayayay

is that okay? or is that wrong???

:/ kinda worried it seemed fine when i submitted it, but now im freaking out

its not the most eloquent way to express yourself, but if it works with the message and theme of your essay, I guess you're safe

What were your alternatives? (besides intestinal fortitude)
Audacity, backbone, gall?

But if you're quoting your lockeroom sign, you not allowed to censor it: "Brains, hearts, vertebrae.

^ The Balls of Hope?

Lucille Ball

"The Balls of Hope"

haha (10char)

Honestly, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I just said: I now know what B.H.B, a sign in my locker room truly means. I must have the brains, the heart, and the balls in anything i do in life to succeed.

thats what i put almost word-for-word.

was that bad? how will USC look on this?

Bump... :/

Don't worry too much about it.

something like that wouldnt ruin my admission or chance for scholarships or med programs would it??

it'll probably come off as humorous (at least if the person reading it is a man!)

:/ If they're old enough, they won't know the connotation...
If they're not...
Wait, did you explain somewhere in your essay what you meant?
I hope you did. XD

It depends. If it is a guy reader, he may skip over. It if is a female reader, it may be offensive, unless you put proof that balls are indeed needed to succeed in a medical career. And if you did that (put the proof), you hope that the reader lacks analytical skills and accepts your proof on its face value. Other than that, you are in. So relax.

thanks i am really hoping it doesnt affect my decision; usc is one of my top choices and i REALLY wanted to get into the bacc/md program and get a scholarship (i know that this is just a dream that wont turn into reality lol but still)
