Ok well in HS I took classes from CW post for English and Business. These classes were sopposedly on a scale level and I got college credit for them. So Baruch waived me from Writing I, Writing II, and Intro to Business after I sent them my transcript. Now I feel like I really screwed myself because I can't change this and take a class over. Do you think these classes were very important anyway? I learned a little in HS but don't feel like I learned as much as I could have in college... Am I screwed? I will be going to Business so they seem important...

You can take them if you want. It’s college. You’re giving them your money through tuition. You’d be paying for it. If I wanted to take Developmental Math, who is stopping me, right?

Called they said I can’t retake them, but do you think it is worth retaking them at all?

Are you talking about your HS or college? I mean, is this for college or HS?

If it’s for the college–you can take them if you want to. They’re not going to not let you unless it is limited and they need to fill in other people who really need the class (to advance, progress). You’re paying them to serve you. As long as there are no perquisites or co-requisites.

I’m not in business but I bet you’ll encounter all the important things from the classes that follow those. Either the professors/TAs will do a little bit of review of the important material like they did for my math classes , or you can always talk to the professor or TAs afterward about what information you feel you are missing in doing well for your new classes. So ya, I wouldn’t worry about it; you’ll be fine.

Perhaps there are equivalent level English classes that you can take that are still writing focused (even if they aren’t as writing focused), so you can brush up on the Writing I and II material while also learning some new stuff.
