I applied ED to Wash U. I think I was pretty iffy to begin with.

ACT 32
SAT 710 CR 710 M 780 W
SAT II 730 US Hist 700 Math IIC

GPA UW 3.6 W 3.98

President service club 11
Secy Habitat 12
Piano 8 years - 2 hs diplomas
other stuff

I attended 3 high schools - 2 different states and now am in London.

This is my problem: I think my 1st quarter grades are going to be not so great. Maybe B-, B, B+, A-, A-

How terrible is that? 4 of the classes are APs. The one B is totally ridiculous. It's AP Spanish and the class has been a mess - they've been looking for 2 extra teachers because they've mixed up IB 11th graders with AP 12th graders and there are also a bunch of native speakers thrown in. The teacher decided to give the native speakers A's and everyone else B's. I've been getting almost all "excelente"s and a few "muy biens" and expected an A.

Is it worth really fighting for a higher grade in that one class? I'm in a new school in a different country and I know my midterm grades will be better. Also, the B+ and one A- are the highest grades in the class. Should I explain all this?

Thank you. I really want to go to Wash U!!
