I don’t mean to sound arrogant, but I have a 3.83/4.3 unweighted (I thought it was 4.0, but I heard our 'smartest’kid has a 4.3 aka the highest), and I converted it back to 4.0 scale with some GPA conversion stuff, and it says my 3.83 is equivalent to a 3.45-3.55/4.0 which is approx 90%. This doesn’t make sense to me because I have never gotten below an A-.
Starting sophomore year (I went to a pub school so my 3.83 GPA doesn’t include my freshman year at public school), I got all A- (no B+ during ANY term), then all A’s junior year with exception of 1 high A- (92.1), and all A’s senior fall.
Some people said that this kid who has the 4.3 is just exceptionally smart , but I always hear people on CC saying they have a 4.0/4.0, so I was wondering-- does my GPA sound correct? It seems kinda low to me, esp with the 4.3 GPA scale. I was told that potentially this kid maxed out (he never got under an A), which is why he might have a GPA higher than 4.0… does that sound reasonable?
