Did not list EC's, but mentioned them in my Personal Statement? HELP!

Transfer Undergrad
Returning Student (After 25)
3.14 GPA + On Campus EC’s
Low Income Background
Attending School While Working Full-Time
Heavily Involved in Community Work.

I submitted, but like most applicants, found a made a mistake.

I did not list my EC’s or awards but DO mention them clearly in my personal statemen t- they were vital for its substance.

Also, a few grammatical errors (a.k.a. “AN” instead of “A” and a double word “and and”)

Applied to UCLA & Berkeley.

Will that drastically reduce my chances of being accepted?

 it doesn’t sound good

An application error can be corrected with a quick email to admissions mentioning the ECs and awards. So this error doesn’t change your chances of getting admitted…which weren’t high to begin with. That GPA is what will hold you back. Do you have other schools you’ve applied for transfer to? If not, you need some less selective options.

Thank you for the feedback.

I applied to San Diego and Santa Barbara as well.
I made a critical mistake… betting on my personal statement having enough substance to carry my application.

Either way,
I’m just excited to transfer.

I just sent a very cordial letter to UC Admissions explaining this and I will post the response here!

Update:

They were very helpful.
They asked me to email a correspondence letter as an attachment.
Your original application does not get changed.
They make this correspondence letter viewable for admissions at the time of review.

If you have SIGNIFICANT updates - I suggest you contact admissions and have a well written correspondence.

Hope this helps!
