Or 3/14? And if so, what are you thinking it means, if anything? Good luck to everyone ...

I have not received an update since 1/31... what exactly happened to your status? What'd it change to or did the status date just change.... did you get the oasis link? I have a theory that the production acceptances may go out next week.

No status change since December for my son, who is also an SCA applicant. Everything fine on oasis, no additional documents required or anything.

i applied to sca and have a 3/12 status. WHAT DOES IT MEANNN

mine is still 12/12 :[

I feel very out of the loop somehow.

my S was updated to "being reviewed" on 3/14. Maybe SCA is starting to send out decisions next week????

Coachmike- Thats my guess. Last year, decisions were sent out in the very last week, but it would seem that (judging off the status updates and another CC member's recent rejection) I think they have made their decisions. So we should probably expect to see some this coming week. Having your status change recently should be a good sign (mine hasn't...but we have a whole week for it to happen so I'm not getting too jumpy yet). Good luck everyone!

P.S.- Perhaps we should just start a SCA general thread, because I'm sure theres going to be quite a few of us around here now.

KOHR, my son is an SCA applicant, living in New England. Status changed on Friday from the old "we have everything we need" to "being reviewed by adcom," 3/13. I'm not sure I know what an OASIS link is, but I would say 'no.'

I wonder if SCA decisions are being made in waves, according to speciality. If you are an SCA applicant and your status changed in the last couple of days, what is your program? My son applied for Animation & Digital Art.

Juniper- I don't want to get your hopes up, but it would seem that "being reviewed by adcom" is generally a good sign. I'm assuming its basically the placeholder for "We have acted on your application." Which they used to use...perhaps they got too many calls when they used to use that because people assumed they could just ask what the decision was. Anyway, the majority of people whose status changes to "being reviewed" recently have been accepted within a matter of days. BUT-- that isn't always true. There are several people who received that status back in january and never received anything yet. Anyway, I hope you are part of the prior group, who has received there acceptances! And just to help track-- I'm an undergrad Production applicant.

Hey, I applied for transfer (entering sophomore) for SCA-CS, and my status changed from 2/3 to 3/13.

I'm expecting at least a Spring Grade Request, but I thought my app to SCA was really strong and my rec letters were excellent (supposedly...). There are separate timelines for freshman/transfer admissions, but I wouldn't try to look too into it until more people report.

critical studies here

If I remember correctly, someone said that theres an order which SCA sends out acceptances... by major... its something like Critical Studies, then Production, and writing is last. I know I left out some majors but those three are the ones I've heard the most about. Seeing as how most Production applicants found out in the around the 21st through the 25th last year, it may make sense that Critical studies applicants would hear back earlier in the third week of March.

Hmm. Checked my status today, it hadn't changed since 2/3, and now it's updated to today, 3/16, and says this:
"Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don't receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th."

Frakkin' scary, man. Good or bad??

I applied for writing, by the way.

Probably good luckygirl1791

Has ANY production B.A. applicant received a recent update? So far I've seen writing, critical studies, and animation... but no production...strange. The first production applicant to recieve their acceptance last year would have received their packet this Friday.

i'm production and the last time i received an update was 3/6

I applied as a Critical Studies major and I haven't received an update since Jan. 28th...
