Did poorly on subject tests, what to do?

Hello. I am a rising senior who took the June subject tests and did not do as well as I hoped (610 Chem, 730 Math 2, 670 US History). I took the SAT I once and scored a 2180 (670 M, 730 CR, 780 W). I want to retake my SAT I to improve my score, especially my math section. I was planning on retaking it in October. I didn't plan to retake subject tests because I thought I would do much better on them.

Would it be best to retake them in November? If I study a lot, do you think it would be possible to pull them up enough to be competitive for "top" schools (applying as an engineer to Cornell, Penn, Berkeley, UCLA, CMU, Hopkins, etc...)? What would be the best study plan to improve my scores a lot?

Thanks in advance.

Retake subject tests over the reasoning test. 2180 isn’t elite but it is good enough to get you in. 610 chem, on the other hand, not so much.

I think I have enough time to retake both, though. I’ll take SAT I in October and subject tests in November?

Depends on if you are trying to apply early though.
