Did u take dual enroll. class in high school?

My son is a soph. in high school. He is trying to map out his courses for the next 2 years. He has always taken Honors courses and will now start to take APs. There is ONE dual enrollment course offered (Western Civ.). What does this do for you GPA wise? I know honors adds .03 and AP adds .05. And what college credit does this give you? Any experience with this or advise would be helpful. Do colleges view dual enrollments favorably too?

In our OOS hs honors add .5 and AP adds 1.0 to the grade in that course. I do not know how JMU recalculates gpa. My son took one dual enrollment class and JMU did accept the 3 credits for one of their core classes.

My school gave us zip for taking honors....ahhhhhhh.

I am taking 4 Dual Enrollment Courses this year and they do not even count in our GPA,however, it still looks really good on college applications and most schools if you have a C+ or higher you can get credit for the courses taken in Dual Enrollment.
