EMS you sound so nice. my gpa was is barley at a 3.0 overall after 3 semesters. infact i personally think my western civ teacher was on crack seeing as how my essay for that final was complete jibberish. Infact this semester was kind of weak i smoked way to much pot since you do imply. but i say to you this if you are in high school: evaluate your social life. And to the kid being a crack pot about me not wanting to talk about my results of finals, ill see you in the parking lot.

parking lot? what are we in high school? Are you actually threatening me over the internet? Wow..... you are something special.

I clocked in with an awesome 2.87... very disappointed. However, I think it's around the average 1st semester GPA, from what I've heard from other people. I'm searching for more exact info, like maybe my RA has the official average 1st semester GPA, I dunno. So, it's not high at my school, but it's definitely not low either.

Why I'm disappointed: I got the lowest grades in 2 courses that I already took in HS. Going in thinking you already know everything = you don't do work = you don't get a good grade.

4.0 at Emory.

4.0 at Carleton College

I go to Pitt. I am spending the year abroad and have gotten all As in nothing but French language courses...too bad my school don't accept the letter grades but only the credits! Oh well. Past grades:

spring 03 (12 credits)
Intro to Communication A (very easy but recitations were annoying)
Intro to Linguistics B (interesting...a bit challenging)
Basic Musicianship: Piano A-
Aspects of Language A (very interesting and really made me want to declare Linguistics as a major)

fall 03 (14 credits)
American Indian Languages B (expected a much lower grade because of my horrible term paper...the prof was merciful I guess!)
Elem Italian I A+
Phonetics & Phonemics A (great class...I mean, very well done)
Prep for Business Calc A (best math teacher EVER)

spring 04 (15 credits)
Seminar in Comp: Education B+
Elem Italian II B (Ugh...I miss a couple classes and a test and I get punished for it? I wouldda seriously gotten an A if I wouldn't have overslept! This was a 5 credit course so that really messed me up)
Languages of Europe B- (GREAT prof but those tests were killer)
Basic Applied Stats A (another fantastic teacher...took stats in high school but this lady made it 10x easier)

Current GPA: 3.55......went down from a 3.7ish because of the B- and Bs. I plan to do better when I get back on campus even though I will be taking a boat load of hard courses (18 credits worth) and a couple reseach/grad courses the year after next...shudder.

Economic Perspectives: B+
Music Appreciation: A
Psych. Lab: A
Composition: B+
History: A-
Intro to Sport/Health Careers: A
Freshman Seminar: "Satisfactory" (didn't affect gpa)
GPA: 3.63 (hey.. I'm happy with it!!)

3.92 (A,A,A,A-) at Columbia University

I envy you soul :). Good job!

3.767 at Bryn Mawr.

bonafide, what program are you studying with in France?

i dont want to talk about it

I still don't know. And I won't know until at least the 12th.
