lol, leethaxor! of course, the joke ap's being the exact same ap's you took :)

<sarcasm>oh... that's just not true... you had to go and take french whereas i took the oh so incredibly difficult classes of ap stats and ap bio...</sarcasm>

other than that though, i concede that you are correct.

What you mean Lance Armstrong and Xena the Warrior Princess aren't the hardest teachers you've had these past four years? Or did you have the Athletic, but slightly reminiscent of Keith, teacher?

nahh... i did have the warrior princess (unfortunately). that class was easily both the easiest and most annoying class i have ever had. you should be glad you avoided it.

it was the notes wasn't it? Wasn't it kind of like honors bio in that she placed a powerpoint or transparency up and then had you copy it down word for word? And she makes sure if you did it as she wished?

yeah... pretty much. it felt like i was back in elementary school. we even had to make pretty posters and were graded on artistic merit (is ap bio of all classes!!!) arrrgghhh!!! it infuriates me to even think about it.

I applied but i dun know if i can get in...O.o
SAT: 2350

ahhh nervous!

Artistic merit or organization? Cause the second one does have some merit. Did you see the "Air Pollution" project we judged?

got in through early approval. :D Why did MIT defer me????

i know someone else who got deferred from mit...they're applying rd to stanford, i think?

yes... yes they are. and stanford is their second choice.

thought so...i think a group of us were discussing this. I'm still rather amused by my little "Bob Dylan look-alike" encounter.

stupidkid, you dont really sound that stupid.

i am guessing early approval was early notification, because you couldnt have applied by early action (restricted).

When do RD decisions come?

Giajale - Hanajima answered in another thread but it's April 1st "at the latest."

So it could be coming any day now...

Why can't all colleges be like Caltech and send the decisions March 10th?

"The Office of Undergraduate Admission will mail and email decision letters to applicants who applied for admission under Stanford's Regular Decision process on Friday, March 28, 2008. Decision letters and emails will be sent sometime after 3pm (Pacific Time) on Friday. Decisions will not be available anywhere on our website, in person or by phone."

Just in case you haven't seen it yet, there it is. I would have edited my original post but it wouldn't let me :(

I got wait listed...now what the hell are my chances of getting in...

karebear,
to be honest chances arent "good", but they are for sure not 0. my brother got in off the wait list 2006 (not last year but the one before that). he waited out the first round of cuts, then sent in another letter of rec, then got past the second round, then sent in a letter of "ton ten reasons i want to go to stanford" it was comical and serious, then he was one of the 20 admitted off the waitlist out of about 400. you need to show them you are very serious about stanford being your top choice AND you being a good match for stanford. but they specifically dont want any more recs right away, so dont annoy them.
goood luck! i hope this helped a little

I got in!
Really exciting this morning on my way to work, I glanced at my email and was like saweeeet! I still don't know what helped me the most. I am 1/454 in my school with decent activities, no varsity sports and only a 2070/2400 and a 1430/1600, I can write good though (used 'good' on purpose. haha) I guess I'm a lucky one.

Good luck to everyone else.
