Did you learn anything today?

While going through my new Japanese kanji book to pick out which of the 2,136 kanji I think I might need to know for the Japanese SAT Subject Test, I noticed that there's a kanji for a verb that means specifically "to kill with a sword."

斬る!

How precise! Can't wait to start using this in Japanese class xD

I learned all about SAS and SSS and geometry stuff like that :D

I learned that this one type of soil is better for my “zone” than the type I’d been using before. Also I learned more about the Higgs boson and about how the entire Colorado ecosystem could be impacted by the fires we’ve been having. Rough.

I learned that my school is a bunch of liars who can’t return phone calls, when it clearly states on its website that its office will be open and available to walk-ins and calls. I still haven’t received a call from the school and it’s been about 3 weeks…

Today I learned how to take my car to the car wash. :]

not yet. but i hope to read this thing once i muster the focus, and once i do, my brain will never be the same.

Think I’ll do five kanji a day.

Today I learned:

起 - Wake up
寝 - Sleep
走 - Run
歩 - Walk
売 - Sell

^ I wish I was dedicated like you. I stopped teaching myself Korean because it became too hard… maybe I should get back into it.

I learned that using a french horn as a “jewelry holder” is a BAD idea oh and I just finished reading my AP world textbook…the. most. boring. day. of. my. life.

I’m going to take Korean in college :D

^ Me too!~ Korean always fascinated me.

It’s funny how I’m the complete opposite of you guys. I have no interest in traveling to Asia or learning their languages. I’m completely interested in traveling south America and learning spanish and Portuguese…

LOL, Spanish is literally the last language I would want to learn xD Third I would pick either Chinese or Arabic.

Maybe third for me would be French since I want to spend more time in the Caribbean. Why do you want to learn Arabic? (pure curiosity)

EDIT: I want to be fluent in Spanish mainly because I’ve invested so much time in it and have a background of Spanish

Wanting a government job purposes.

Arabic sounds and looks too hard lol. I would rather do Chinese (which is also hard lol). I just like the way Chinese sounds, it’s very fluid when it’s sung.

Arabic would be a fun language to learn. Back in middle school my friend tried to teach me some words. I only remember one of the many words she taught me…it was fun while it lasted

My sister is learning (or relearning) ASL and it’s pretty fun to say stuff about people/situation without anyone knowing >:]

I do that with my friend on the bus with Japanese xD

It’s fun when I’m speaking another language with someone, but I can’t stand it when somebody else does it, when they’re talking about you lol.

Arabic is so fun  I love the script
