Did your proctor tell you...

NEVER to discuss any SAT questions via the internet etc etc...

I'd heard that for AP exams, but yesterday(my 3rd time taking Reasoning test) was the first time I'd heard them read that out of the SAT examiner manual thingy.....is Collegeboard gonna start cracking down on that too?

no. this is perfectly legal. you just can't discuss before embargo.

The legality of the whole embargo is questionable at best, the legal statements they put on there have yet to be challenged in court though.

so you are saying I'm gonna get screwed for posting on this board...all the ccers are gonna get sued and not get into college

sweet...lol that would be a terrible terrible thing.

A lot of that legal stuff is for the people on the east coast who have time to inform their buddies on the west coast what to expect.

damn I'm on the east coast

It's been many years since I sat for the CPA exam (also a uniform exam), but I distinctly remember not being allowed to leave the testing room until after the West Coast test had commenced for each section. (Not sure how they handled Hawaii :-)

Wonder why they don't do the same thing for SATs?

It’s been in the instructions for years.

They always say that, but sadly no one follows it

Or to Asia.

Some korean recently got arrested for doing that

Yes, you are technically not allowed to discuss any multiple choice questions on any Collegeboard test with anyone until they say you can. But honestly, it’s one of those extreme rules that exists to prevent people from doing extremely stupid things; unless some guy with a photographic memory posts the entire test on the Internet, they’re not really going to waste THAT much energy enforcing it.

By the time we get started, Asia has been done for hours.

^
wrong.

Asia is a day late.

Don’t foreign countries get different tests than the one we get in the US?

Apparently not. since, some Korean just got caught

So… Asia’s test is January 24 instead of January 23?

Woah…
never mind. BreadBasket you’re right. I was wrong
Asia is 24th when US is 23rd

So, Asia can’t get the test from US

is time difference the only reason for the embargos? so now it’s over all over the world, we’re free to discuss, right?

em…post sth wrong here

i did remember collegeboard had a term stating that unless score report is available online( Feb.11 for Jan SAT), you should not be allow to share or discuss blahblahblah…
