Didn't submit my writing portion - 15 days later???

I applied to 13 schools total and have had my hands full with college apps this semester. Thought I was finally done, but when I happened to return to the Common App website to check something, i JUST realized that I never submitted the separate writing portion to Duke or Notre Dame. Today is January 16 and they were due the 1st.

Will it do any good to call the admissions offices and try to talk to someone?

Has anyone made a similar mistake and been able to resolve it?

I will be very disappointed if I lost my chance at these schools because I made this stupid mistake, especially considering how much time and effort I put into each of the essays for these schools :frowning:

Some hope or reality would be great.

@sophie5413 Havent had that experience. However, my advice would be to call admissions office and try and explain. If you dont try, you wont know.

Just an update for anyone else wondering: I called both admissions offices this afternoon, and although the Duke admissions representative cautioned me that this is why it is so important to double-check and follow up, they both basically told me not to worry. They will still review my applications, which is great news.
