The two psych majors in cas and steinhardt- what's the difference?
That is all lol thank you

From my understanding, as a current student at NYU, the two majors just take a different approach. The CAS psychology is more biologically-sciencey based, whereas Steinhardt is more socially based. They just take a different approach to the subject. I’ve met a lot of people who prefer Steinhardt’s program over CAS, but I think it’s their personal preference and what you want to do with it. Most people I know in applied psych want to become therapists of some sort, so if that’s what you want to do you might prefer applied psych rather than CAS psych.

Biggest difference: they are different degrees. BS in psychology (Steinhardt), BA in psychology (CAS). This should be helpful. http://steinhardt.nyu.edu/scmsAdmin/uploads/004/074/UG_Psych_Brochure.pdf Applied psych is the tighter program with more mandatory credits.
