Difference between CS and CSE?

CS = Computer Science in College of Letter and Science
CSE = Computer Science & Engineering in College of Engineering

They both deal with computers, but what makes the two courses different from each other, other than that CSE requires more courses for the major? What does the CSE major focus on that the CS major doesn’t?

engineering

CS is based more on software and theory. ECS focuses more on hardware and even a bit of electrical engineering but is still software based. Computer and Electrical engineering focus mostly on hardware.
