I wanted to know whats the difference between Emory and the Oxford College is.

I'm planning to get a B.S. in Biology and apply to the Emory Medical school. Should I apply to both Emory & Oxford or will oxford be of no use to me?

Thanks.

Based on the stats you posted, you should definitely apply to Oxford. Your chances of admission at the main campus are slim if your SAT score doesn’t increase fairly significantly.

Yeah, just do the dual application for 50 bucks and see what happens. Also, for a biology major, it could be best to start off at Oxford in terms of education/learning outcomes. Their experience in introductory courses is much more helpful (and personal, making those rec. letters easier to obtain) as far as I’m concerned. Don’t be bummed if you are not admitted to main campus. They’ll give you a good experience at Oxford.

Okay I’ll be sure to apply to both colleges although I wanted to know what you do at Oxford, do you take classes that help you complete your degree? Do the offer the same classes as the main campus? Also, would you get the same degree if you went all 4 years to emory vs. 2 years at oxford & 2 at emory?

Yes, if the classes didn’t help you complete your degree, there’d be no point in them :P

Yes, they’re the same classes. Better teacher/student relationships, I bet. Not that they are bad here at the main campus, but you know what I mean.

Yes, it’s the same degree.

Apply to both, there is no extra cost.
If you get into both, choose the one that fits you better.
