HI! What are the major differences between Foothill and De anza College? Which one has better transfer opportunities if I want to study math? Please help me. Thank you!

De Anza and Foothill are sister colleges. Foothill has drama, De Anza has music, Foothill has radio, De Anza has American Sign Language. They split certain programs between them. For general subjects such as mathematics, it’s not really so important which you go to. It’s more the specific subjects they differ in. Your parking permit and will be valid for either college, and they are near each other, so you can easily register in both schools for different classes.

I go to De Anza, and I know many people at Foothill. Both are great schools. I believe De Anza has slightly higher transfer rates, but I may be wrong. Just choose whichever you like best, and transfer to the other if you change your mind. :)

^couldnt have said it better myself!

but also, foothill offers TAP for UCLA i think, while de anza doesn’t. so while it might be beneficial to do TAP, you can still get into UCLA from da without it.

Both Foothill and De Anza have all of the lower division math courses you should need for a math major at UC and CSU schools.

For example, using [UC Berkeley Math](<a href=“Welcome to ASSIST”>Welcome to ASSIST) as the transfer target:

[Foothill major prep
De Anza](<a href=“Welcome to ASSIST”>Welcome to ASSIST) major prep

Thank you very much! I really appreciate your help!
