Difference between Future Plans Academic Interests and Major

<p>So, back in September, I put down the following as my academic interests for all of my common app schools
1. Chemistry
2. Finance
3. Biology</p>

<p>The problem is, I have already sent some of my apps and I chose biology majors because I became more interested in biology over the past 3 months. Is it ok to choose a biology major or should I be consistent, pick chemistry, and just switch my actual major once I get in?</p>

<p>Unless there is some advantage in being specifically interested in Biology such as a scholarship or easier admissions, I think it’s acceptable to just continue to list the same interests. I think most schools expect students to change majors and won’t hold them to their original list unless it involved admissions to a specific program or money.</p>
