Difference between Spanish Lit and Lang?

I was wondering what the differences were between the AP Spanish Language and Literature tests are.

I am a junior, non-native speaker who is skipping Spanish 3 (studying over the summer, actually) to go to AP Spanish 4 a year early to be more challenged. I am going to enroll at a community college through a special program for high schoolers my senior year, and take a more advanced Spanish class there. So in addition to the question above, I was wondering if I should take the AP test at the end of my junior year, right after having been in the class, or wait until I learn more from the college class my senior year. My only worry is that since the college class isn't specifically geared toward the AP test, it might not be useful to me in terms of taking the test.

Thanks!

There’s a required reading list for Spanish lit.

There’s MC and a Free response

no speaking/listening.

Thanks a lot!

when i was deciding between the two, my spanish teacher told me to do lit instead of language because it’s more challenging, less popular, and thus more highly regarded. i liked it cause i got to read cool stuff :)
