Difference between Yale supplement essay and Commonapp essay

<p>Hi everyone, is there a difference in what you can write about for the Commonapp essay and the additional Yale essays? I have written two essays but I can't seem to decide which one to put where. Both are fairly personal and could answer a Commonapp essay prompt.</p>

<p>Also, is anyone (preferably someone who goes to Yale) willing to take a look at both? Thanks!</p>

<p>P.S. I'm referring to the 500 word Yale supplement essay not the Why Yale question.</p>

<p>They’re pretty much interchangeable since the supplemental essay is open and you can always pick the CA topic of your choice.</p>
