This isn’t like a super important topic, I’m just very curious. On my ACT, I scored a 32 (twice). However on my SAT, I scored approximately a 1750 (Not exact but pretty close). A 1750 is about a 26, which is a 6 point drop which seems INSANE. How is it that I can score so well on one, and flop the other?
actually that’s not that uncommon. the SAT and ACT are 2 different tests, so some people find that they do a lot better on one than the other.
In general, the SAT has harder questions but with less time pressure. The ACT has easier questions (that are more amenable to improvement with test prep) but has more time pressure. It’s not uncommon for students to score better on one.
Hmm okay thanks! I didn’t do any test prep, so I guess I just like pressure… And easier questions! @goldenbear2020
