Sorry guys. I love UCSD but I pretty much have no idea what each college’s specialties are. I tried to read up on them but it’s not really helping since the stuff they shove at me is “…leadership, service and pride” or something like that. I want a direction in terms of majors each of the college specializes in.

I would have to agree with the previous comments.

All the majors are open to any college. So there really isn't any "specilization" as in other univeristies.

However, some colleges GE requirements fit better with some majors. Example, I'm an Aerospace engineering major at Warren College. Many of my GEs overlap with my major requirements [and there aern't much other stuff] so I don't have a heavy laod.

My friend, on the other hand, over at Revelle has a ton load of non scince, non engineering "crap" to take. :)

So read up on the GEs. That's the main diference. The rest are trivial differences, imo.

Oh and Warren College [the dorms] are RIGHT NEXT to Jacobs Engineernig building. :)

Here is the quick breakdown of the schools from a former SD alum.
Rooselvelt- Ton of humanities GEs. If you like writing, the school is for you.
Marshall- Balanced of the bunch. Even number of humanities and science GEs.
Muir- The school with the least GEs. Good choice for people who don't want to take classes that are outside of their major.
Revelle- Ton of science GEs like physics, chemistry and biology.
Warren- GEs comparable to Muir's.
6th College- I have no idea. I am from the old school. The 6th college was not around when I attended UCSD.

Congrats to all of the students who were admitted to UCSD. It is a great school that holds many wonderful memories for me. Enjoy the weather, the people, and the beach.
