Differences between Math 16A and 17A?

<p>Is 17A necessarily more difficult than 16A? I’m someone who has taken up to PreCalc but I’m majoring in something Biology related. I never had the chance to ask the orientation leaders so I’m hoping you guys can answer. Which suits me better? </p>

<p>17A includes more information about bio related things and covers material faster than 16A (according to the descriptions).</p>

<p>And remember, 16 series IS NO LONGER accepted for a biology degree. Maybe even other science degrees as well. I believe this new rule is effective for those entering the 2014 class.</p>
