I posted this elsewhere. if I'm getting annoying, I'm sorry but I think all of you give some pretty good advice.

I've already applied to two uni's as a spring 09 transfer and I'm definitely admitted to one. I'm an accounting and history major, minor in psych. I don't know if it is worth transferring for me because this will be my 4th transfer... yes 4th. I went to a 3rd tier uni in '04 for one yr, then I went to cc for 2 years, now I am at a 4th tier uni and this is my third semester here. I absolutely hate this school w/ a passion. The campus is dirty, the school is huge (its a state school), and the business program is not really that great. I'm not from TX and I didn't do any research on the schools when I transferred. I want to transfer bc I still have two years till I grad and both of the uni's I've applied to have better business programs. Plus where ever I transfer to, I'm definitely getting my Master's from there w/ a fast track program. One of the uni's is ranked 108 nationally and the other is a 3rd tier uni, but the business program is ranked #119. I've visited both campuses and I like them a lot. I just don't know if transferring so many times will look bad when I apply to grad school, possibly law school. So is it even worth going thru the trouble of transferring? Plus I'm losing credits. I'm stuck in such a dilemma.. I'm not sure which route to take.

Unless the school is in a great area for internships or a flagship with great alumni support, I can't believe there's not much difference between a low Tier 2, Tier 3 or Tier 4 school

well, I mean even the uni I am right now has good internships w/ deloitte, pwc, irs, etc and great alumni support. And the ones I applied to also have good internships and alumni support. But the ones I applied to just have overall better business programs and better job placement (from the research I've done). My deal is that if I stay at this uni I'm at, I would not do my masters from here and try to get into USC, SMU, TCU, or Miami. I need a masters anyways in order to sit for the CPA exam. So should I just stick it out at the undergrad I'm in, keep my credits, and then apply after I grad? Or should I bail for another school now and do the fast track program (BS/MS)? How much will this college resume I've built up affect me in the long run when I apply to law schools or MBA programs, whichever route I decide to take? Will it look better that I graduated from a good business program or will it just look bad that I changed schools so much and lost credits.. etc? I appreciate any advice.

For MBA admission, what will matter the most is work experience. If you feel that you can get a substantially better job by transferring to another University then you should transfer (however this is not likely considering that you will be going for a MACC anyways, unless u believe your admissions into that program will somehow be hampered).

For what it is worth, I know someone from your ugrad that attends a top tier MBA program and is at the top of his class academically.
