See this thread, b/c this is a debate about the diversity of Wake. Personally, I don't think Wake has diversity issues. You are obviously a very bright person, do not trust Princeton Review 100%. Some of their stuff is worth looking at, but I would certainly not choose a school based on one of their so-called lists, because I promise you will be denying yourself a great experience.

Wake does have diversity. Maybe not diversity in the sense that a school like Rutgers or a UC school where URM's are the majority, but diversity comes in other forms: socioeconomics, where you are from, and just different experiences. Bottom line, if you do not fit in, you are probably the problem. But just read over the thread on the link, and please do not make a decision based on some Princeton Review b*******.

GA where are you from? Since I'm from NY i found the diversity was somewhat lacking what I visited back in April. I guess it's not really any different that any other town outside of major cities in terms of minority make-up. But it definitely is less than that of most other schools.

Wake is continually attracting a more diverse student body, and students like yourself will keep the trend going. This year, Black Enterprise magazine named Wake Forest University 22nd on its list of Top Colleges for African Americans. Furthermore, our current Student Government President is an African American female.

Don't miss this opportunity to come to Wake Forest. You will grow socially and intellectually beyond your wildest dreams.

GAclassof2008: When you are saying you are looking for a school that is diverse, what do you mean? I mean what do you expect?

I'm just asking this because different schools offer different ideals of diversity (no one really knows what diversity is). Before looking at rankings like Princeton Review, you should really ask yourself what you mean by diversity.

Second of all, Princeton, Kaplan, USNews, etc all offer DIFFERENT data. Interesting...

Wake is not a diverse campus by any means, but the organizations for the groups that are there are very good. If anything people don't notice differences between each other and assume everyone is similar to themselves.
