Is $1,400 a lot? Especially considering I love to eat.

Depends on what you eat. Where you eat. If you can go to a grocery store or bring food from home.

My best friend ran out at the beginning of the second semester.
I had $500 left at the end of the year that lasted me until November in the fall semester.

It depends. I go to J2/Kinsolving all the time and I have $500 left so far. Ill probably have around $300 plus $100 in Bevo Bucks by the end of the semester. If you eat at JCL all the time, expect to have all your dine in dollars done by the beginning of your first semester!

Whoa, hold on… does each student get $1,400 Dine in Dollars and $300 Bevo Bucks per semester or per year?

The most economical way to use dining dollars is to eat as many meals as possible at the all you can eat venues, kinsolving and J2. They will last a long time if you use them like that.

Per year…

DD has about $140.00 left on her dine-in dollars. She eats at Kins and buys stuff from the Kins market daily. The Bevo Bucks went away quickly and we’ve added about $75.00, but only because she uses them to pay for washers and dryers.

OTOH, her roommate has hundreds of dollars left, but only because she eats out much, much more.

A year of Dine In Dollars will cover 12 cafeteria meals per week if you eat in the all you can eat venues.
