a friend of mines (seriously, it's a friend and not me lol) took her New SAT and did very badly (1690), considering that she's applying to Rice. She's now planning on taking the New ACT instead, and normally that would be fine, since she could just put on the Common App her ACT score, assuming she does well. The problem is, Rice also requests scores for two SAT II tests, but the problem is that when she sends in her College Board score report to Rice to show them her SAT II scores, they'll also see her New SAT score. Since the section on the Common App that asks for your scores is self-reported, should she just leave the part where it asks for your New SAT score blank and not report it? please reply

Just report what you want them to see. They don't really care if you took the SAT I and did badly if your ACT scores are much stronger. And they won't consider that being dishonest or anything either. So just leave out any low scores you don't want them to consider. No big deal.

I agree with marlgirl, she should put down her best. The score report Collegeboard sends is just to confirm that what she said was accurate.

omg thank you guys sooo much!!!
