so has anyone else applied using this?

i'm not sure if my chances would be hurt since i can't send it with a resume and it has a lot less detail than the common app....
anyone else do this?!

Yes, I did in fact apply back in November or December with the Direct Connect Application... I thought all application processes were done by this point (Last day being today Jan. 15th)

I'm not sure if we're talking about the same thing, because I only knew the Direct Connect Application to be the one which was offered to NC Residents which acts somewhat as a Early Action, without being binding, of course.

I applied direct connection. And I'm not from NC.

It has about the same amount of stuff as the common app. It won't hurt your chances. The college would deliberately trick people into applying via direct app to have a lower admissions rate.

Hmmm, I am confused. . .
I had received an email saying that they had an application allowing NC Residents/students to apply early but not binding. I'm pretty sure it was called the Direct Connection Application.

hilsa, when did/do you hear back from Wake?

I hear back in March or April, whenever the RD date is.

Maybe there are two versions, one for NC residents, and one for OOS students.

I also applied via the direct connection application and I'm OOS

Direct connect has a bit more writing , where you could present more of yourself via essay and short answers.
If you feel the need to present a resume , contact admissions and see if they will accept as an addition.

Based on the amount of e-mails we received from WF to apply with Direct Connent , I think this was their prefered application and cant see a negative bias to applying with the WF in house application.

Good luck.

i asked my interviewer about this, and they told me that in the end it looks the same to them as any common application app, they don't see any difference in them when reviewing the application.
