Direct Hits: January 2009

How did Direct Hits hold up for the Jan 09 SAT?

actually ,they were pretty poor on the internationl test.I only spotted about 3-4 hits ,the rest i got from the Barron`s word list

i'm quite disappointed actually.

the only useful word,i remember was ''spurious'' and ofcourse there were about 5-6 more hits but i expected more.

Hey. What exactly is a "hit"? The vocab being in the answer?

Took the SAT for the first time today-OMG was it hard and long! Critical reading section was not like any practice test I did in the Blue Book. I did get some right because of studying Direct Hits like you guys on CC said to.

The right answers (I think) were wry, anachronism, assuage, conundrum, and anecdote. I now remember spurious from the other post. There were words like celerity, laud and recluse in DH that were not "hits" but helped me figure out the right answer.

Yeah, a hit is when the Vocab book has one of the words on the SAT

So from what i gather DH did not do that well this time around.
