I don't want my parents to take up a loan.</p>

<p>Correct, just don’t accept it. However, I would accept it. Accepting it doesn’t mean your parents have to use it, but it will be there all year if they need it. If you run short of money or something like that, they can get the loan if needed… Just food for thought.</p>

Also, are we supposed to mail in our MPN? Or is it automatically sent to UCSD from the loans website?</p>
<p>The MPN is sent to UCSD automatically, so you don’t have to do anything on your part besides filling it out.</p>
<p>What about the Perkins Loan MPN? You actialy have to fill that one out. Where do we mail it to and when’s the deadline for it to be received?</p>
<p>Do you guys know how long it takes them to check it off in the checklist? I filled it out Friday and it’s not checked.</p>
<p>@samdifference- It usually takes a while, so just be patient… I filled mine out Friday as well and it’s still not checked off.</p>
<p>@Chemistrylover-The address to mail it to should be on the MPN itself, and it’s usually to whatever institution you’re borrowing it from.</p>
