Disabled Veteran Nomination

I am looking for information on the nomination for children of 100% service connected disabled veterans. I have completed the form letter to admissions, but am not sure what other documents/information I need to assemble. I have called the admissions counselor, and will ask for additional information from the ALO. Anyone with information about this type of nomination would be greatly appreciated. If you know anyone who has been nominated this way I would really like to know more.

I would also like to know more information about nominations for the children of disabled veterans.

A link to info was posted on the USAFA board.

I found this on the USMA website. Children of disabled veterans apply for a presidential nomination. If you click on “View a sample” it will show a sample letter you can use. Per the instructions, you send the following with the letter:

•Include a brief statement concerning the date, place and cause of death or the details of disability together with the claim number assigned to the veteran parent's case by the Veteran's Administration (if appropriate).

I hope this helps answer part of your question.
