Disadvantage of Princeton's undergrad focused education

I noticed that, from Priceton's Career Services web site,
Princeton Office of Career Services 2010-2011 Annual Report

<a href="http://www.princeton.edu/career/undergrads/student-survey-data/%5B/url%5D">http://www.princeton.edu/career/undergrads/student-survey-data/</a></p>

that only 42% are employed.
11.6% are doing year-long eintership
10.7% seeking employment
4% part time employment.
These are very disappointing numbers.

In addition, only 22 entered law school somewhere and 38 entered medical schools.
I heard that each year about 30 Yale graduates enter Yale law school and 20 enter Yale Med.

Anyone can tell me why Princeton's unemployment rate is so high ?
and
Why so many Princeton's graduates are rejected from Law/Med schools ?

Many people claimed that Princeton is a undergraduate focused school. However, what is the point of getting great undergraduate education if you become unemployed and/or rejected from top graduate schools ?

Only 10% of students were still seeking employment; the rest were employed, attending grad school, or otherwise had post-grad plans.

It seems like you’re not adding together all the post-grad opportunities and are just looking at the employment numbers. Many more have internships–most of which, I imagine, are the sort that lead to jobs–and are headed to grad school. Only a tenth of the class is still searching. What’s the problem?

And the Phoenix (aka jomjom, German car) rises again.

Please, let’s not take “youpika” seriously. Feeding the beast only encourages it.

I second you lefthandofdog, This is yet another of the multiple incarnations of jomjom that always appears this time of year.

The GERMANCAR is back!

Princeton likes to claim that it’s so focused on undergrads, but it’s a national tier one research university like all the other ones. If anything, not having a medical school is a severe disadvantage in terms of resources.

Yes. Princeton’s pre-med, pre-law, pre-MBA programs are pretty bad because of lack of medical school, law school and business school. and grad deflation.

Top med, law, business , PhD program strongly prefer applicants from their own undergraduate college. Why do you think that so many Princeton graduates fail to enter top graduate program ? and unemployed ?
