I got my financial aid stuff for Penn. They expect me to pay 2.5 times that which two other Ivies said I had to 2. Granted, the amount they expect me to pay is still low when compared to what the average student has to pay. Has anyone else gotten disappointing fin aid offers when compared to the other schools they got into, or is this something I should contact the fin aid to look over?

contact the financial aid office and tell them what the other ivies would give you; you can use the other offers to get penn to match them.

i dont think they should be that different. contact them and see what's up.

Penn should match any financial aid offer made by another Ivy or rival school (Stanford, MIT, etc).

Thanks guys. I will call the fin aid office and see what's up.

if they match it the first year, how do u know they wont go back to their former aid your subsequent years?

I haven't heard of that happening to anyone

The same thing that doesn't stop other Ivies from reducing aid every subsequent year.
