Disciplinary Suspension to CC to a 4 year college..?

Okay, so to start off, here’s a little background: I went to a nationally recognized high school and excelled the first two years but decided to go back to a nearby high school since I was overwhelmed with the high amount of depression at this first school. Ironically, having to deal with a new school overwhelmed me and depression hit hard. I was then able to transfer to another school but had to drop all my AP credits because of missing so many days and went to a <2.8 gpa my junior year. However, I was able to recover my senior year and have a 4.2< gpa, but this was not enough for college. I applied to many but luckily was accepted into a college and started in the fall of 2015.

I thought I was prepared for college, but I was not. Having so much freedom I was sucked into a life of partying and made terrible mistakes. I got my first ‘strike’ in the first couple weeks of college and soon received another one a month later. Because of the little time frame between these two charges, my school decided to suspend me. I appealed this twice but found out the that they did not care and would not let me finish out my first semester even though I had less than 3 weeks left. If this was all, I would have returned to this institution but I made yet another careless mistake and went out and was arrested. I was charged with a felony of assault but incoherent throughout the entire night and this was my final wakeup call. I know that I should have had a better handle of my actions and thought of the consequences ahead of time, but I did not. Due to this, my school has currently suspended me indefinitely and I do not wish to return because I don’t feel it is the right environment for me. Although things kept heading downhill, I hit my rock bottom when I was sentenced to a month of jail because I wanted to face the consequences of my mistake rather than paying it off. My charge got reduced to a misdemeanor and my trial was in late Spring, so I had time to start classes at a Community College.

I took Spring classes to makeup for the Fall ones and after I served my sentence I took an intensive 6-week semester over the summer. Currently, I am enrolled in Fall classes, will enroll in the Spring and hope to transfer next year. I know that criminal histories are looked down upon but I really have learned from my mistakes and I was able to maintain a 4.0 at this CC. I’m wondering if it’s too soon to apply to other colleges or if they will even look past my mistakes. I know that a criminal record is not the end of my life and I have shown improvement but I am wondering if colleges will even think about accepting me. I am open to every advice, good or bad and greatly accept any constructive responses. Thank you in advance.
