Discovery Fellow & "Gold Standard Award" Emails

My daughter just got this in an email from ASU:

I am pleased to inform you that you have received an additional scholarship from Arizona State University based on your academic achievements. ASU believes scholarship awards are an investment in students who demonstrate they have the potential to make a positive impact at the university. You are exactly that type of student.

Gold Standard Award
This is a renewable award that is applicable for two years at ASU. To maintain your ASU merit scholarship for the duration of your award, you will be expected to meet the New American University Scholarship renewal criteria. Please reference ASU’s Scholarship Renewal Guide for more information. Details of your award can be viewed on My ASU.

Does anyone know what this scholarship is? It is not showing up on her MyASU portal & I can’t find any info on ASUs website.

Also, has anyone received the email that says “Congratulations, Discovery Fellow…” I think she filled out a very short essay for the chance to get a Discovery award. Does this mean they actually picked her?

My son got the same Gold Standard Award letter. It took a couple of days, but it now shows up on his MyASU portal as an additional $2000 scholarship renewable for two years.
