I got an email this afternoon.

Only people who got emails got in?

I don't know. Suzi Nam wrote that my official letter of acceptance is in the mail, so maybe not everyone is necessarily being notified by email.

Thanks for the response. Man, I would really hope to be accepted.

Did you submit an email address on your application? Did you possibly just forget to put it down on the form man? Hmm...my email did say that the official letter was coming in the mail too...maybe she just emailed some people and saved the rest for tomorrow? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, though.

Thanks, man. Appreciate it.

I received an acceptance e-mail last night for the 2005 weekend! i'm really excited! is anyone else going?

I am. Got the email yesterday as well. Hope to see some of you there

I was accepted by e-mail as well. I"m so excited haha. I was freaking out, checking the mailbox everyday and then I checked my e-mail today (I'm horrible about checking my e-mail) and voila there was the acceptance letter.

MoonGirl:

Congratulations. I hope you really enjoy Discovery Weekend. My wife pointed out your "stats" from another thread.

To put your mind at ease, you are a strong applicant for Swarthmore, IMO. If I were you, I would be confident, especially if you decide to apply Early Decision.

thankyou so much. Surfing around on collegeconfidential can be kinda intimidating so its really comforting that you have faith in me. Swarthmore has been my dream school ever since I visited during Spring Break of my Sophmore year. It'll be so nice to get to experience the school first hand and to escape from Georgia for a weekend, lol.

I got in too! but I have one concern b4 RSVPing
For the people who fly in, will they send any1 to meet you? cause it would be pretty scarey to show up in philly at midnite. Would I have to take the subway all by myself?
:/

They will have campus shuttle vans picking up at the airport. You'll get instructions about how to meet up with other arriving students in the airport and get the shuttle van. It's only about a 15 minute ride to campus from the airport.

There will be students arriving by Amtrak and taking the train to Swarthmore (from NYC and DC, for example). But, they wouldn't book those to arrive at midnight. I think they may even have a student meet those trains at the station downtown.

Although from what others have been saying, if you are a low income caucasian, you may be eligible for discovery weekend, but it's mostly for minorities, even asians

And I got in too.
