fallenchemist wasn’t actually asking for your identity, just what was so special about you that made you not just an average freshman.

If that info would give away your identity, then I apologize for my misunderstanding.

I hate it when people take personal shots at posters on this site. People post to try and be helpful, and share their experiences. No one is getting paid to post. When they have to worry about nasty comments, it just makes them stop being helpful to the rest of us.

six360 fully explained the context of his/her response. make of it what you will.

Well put it this way, if I gave you an answer that was at l satisfactory, it would narrow my name down to four freshman and then it wouldnt take long to pick me out of that lineup. I will continue to post as long as I can maintain a certain level of confidentiality.

Carla - I was not intending to take a personal shot at six360. It was meant as a good natured “nudge” to try to not sound so self important. That’s my fault, I should know by now there is no nuance on the internet. However, I will point out that he said I presumed something I never presumed at all, and essentially called me delusional. But I took no offense at either of those things. Since I pointed out that my D went through this a few years ago, he should not presume it was the same then as it was when he went through it, if we are being that picky.

Personally, I think it would be more useful if he could say “I know a lot about this because…” or whatever, rather than give the impression that he is somehow part of the admissions process or some similar special position. But I also agree that if that were enough to make him identifiable, that is a possible problem. No harm intended.

lol, this thread.

what should S wear to the dinner friday night hosted by the ABS? Thanks!

The dinner, like just about everything this weekend, is business casual. Look nice, but you don’t need to break our your cane and top hat.
