any idea how much ill lose for forgetting dx’s on integrals?

^I wouldn’t think that much…if any at all.

wow, im so careless when the grpah had 0.1, 0.2, and 0.3, i just used that as 1,2,3…damn

could you explain 1d? my a, b, and c are the same

Larry does live 1.6 away (integral of his velocity)

Carren lives 1.8 miles - .2 miles - .2 miles (the first two triangles get taken away cuz she goes back to get her book)=1.4 miles

1d you have to intergrate from(0,12) on the function to get 1.6 for larry
for caren you have to find the net area, meaning everything from [0,4] is meaningless, and you just need the area from [4,12] that gives you 1.4 miles

hey guys i had the same a and c, but like i said before i didnt really see the decimal point bpart b was 16 and part d i compared 1.6 with 14…stupid i know but do they give partial credit if you attempted it correctly but made mathematical error?

I subtracted 1 .2, but forgot the second…see what I mean by stupid mistakes?

ah I only subtracted 0.2 so I had them both at 1.6

Same, lawlroy, but we should get a least some credit.

anyone remember their function for number 4. Im not 100% sure but I remember y=4e^(-x^3/3) something like that…anyone else?

It asks for t=0 to t=2, reread the question.

Caren’s house was closer than larry’s

Sixthsense: I believe I got that as well.

I didn’t get C=4
I got it equal to something negative I think… hmm…

it should be 6-4e^((-x^3-1)/3), but I got 6-4e^((x^3+1)/3) how many points off will that be?

^dont worry separation of variable problems are usually 4-5 points as long as u did everything else up to that point right it would prbly only be a point off or so.

for 4c i got y = (-4/[e]^(1/3))e^(-1/3x^3) + 6

i think thats what i got

same zhong

for 5 d i did linear approximation and was like f(7)=f(5)+(2)*(f’(5)) and that was 4 which satisfied the inequality. Did anyone else do that. For the other part of that question i did a slope calculation and got 5/3 i think.
