<p>i have a discussion session for every one of my lectures. i believe that when trying to register for classes, the discussions actually took up time slots and prohibited you from overlapping them with other classes. are they mandatory to attend?</p>
<p>It depends on the class. Science discussions tend to be optional, whereas social science discussions are more likely to be mandatory.</p>
<p>that’s unfortunate, but thanks. i guess i should just go to all of them the first week and find out from there.</p>
