Dismissed from major. Can I get into a Med school or post bac?

Hello, I’m a 3rd year at a UC school. I’m trying to find a way to get into Med school. I was dismissed from Biology and now I’m Psychology. My gpa is a 2.5 and I have time to bring it up. I was dismissed for bad grades but I had a lot of family and personal issues preventing me from dedicating time to school. I tried to have a dismissal but it was denied because it didn’t exactly happen to me. (Our school is impacted with bio and other science majors, the weeding process is strong.)

My issue is that I need to take/ complete the bio series, o Chem, and bio Chem. I’m not sure if I should take them at a separate campus or if you know any post bac’s that can help someone in my situation

If this is your third year, you should have completed introductory general biology and organic chemistry by now if you were in the biology major.

In any case, a 2.5 GPA greatly reduces your chance of getting into a medical school. Assuming that you have completed 7 quarters’ worth of courses and have 5 more quarters to go, even a 4.0 GPA the rest of the way will only bring it up to about 3.125.
