They just turned way too stupid with their shows. Any high school male who has a brain shouldn't watch this channel, unless a classic Disney movie pops on (not that made-for-TV bull)

^Any high school ANYONE. I don't know any females above the age(s) of 14-15 or males above the age of 13 who'll admit to ever watching the Disney channel.

Disney Channel has definitely gotten worse over the past few years. Back when they had good movies like The Thirteenth Year, I really loved their movies.

I still watch it occasionally. Camp Rock was actually not nearly as bad as I expected, and The Suite Life has its good moments.

And, if we're going to talk about how much tweens and younger kids love and are influenced by Disney actors...well, most of them now aren't bad role models, actually. All those family values and whatnot are not actually a bad message to send.

I miss Disney when they had shows like Smart Guy, Even Stevens, Boy Meets World, So Weird, and Lizzie McGuire.
I think it was called Zoog Disney.

Then explain all the female Hannah Montana fans. Maybe it's just what I observe. They never admit to it, but I always see that cursed name when I listen to another girl's iPod during study hall.

^ true...if you don't see any freshman or sophs listening to it, then you probably are ignoring it. Personally, the hs near me had an expose on how many teenagers liked it (some 75% for frosh and soph) & 2 freshman homerooms, instead of inspirational quotes a la Ghandi or someone, had Hannah lyrics up on the wall and photos of her.

I agree. I used to love the Disney Channel when I was little.
I remember they had those... I can't even remember what they're called, they were little creatures that had internet names like "browser" who anchored the channel - and Goof Troop and Recess.

I don't think I've watched that channel in years, though. I still understand the fascination with that Miley girl. Her voice sounds like a transvestite talking with a mouth full of hot grits.

I am an avid Nickelodeon fan, however. I can't resist Spongebob and all his glory

YES! This was actually when they had good DCOMs too. I think everything started going downhill around 2004. The same thing happened to Nickelodeon, but a little earlier when they ditched Snick and all the good Nicktoons for the lame stuff they have now. This makes me feel old...

i agree with the person who said disney channel has gone downhill.
they used to have shows like boy meets world [[ best show ever ]]
and now its stupid animated ones with no point. like the brandy and mr. wiskers. it used to be for older people, but now all the shows are for like 6 year olds.
