Anyone know of it? Anyone signed up, got interviewed? Accepted? Experienced it before? Talk about it pls.

I signed up, interviewed, and was accepted the 2nd semester of my Freshman year (I heard about it weeks before the interview). I really wanted to go, but I wanted to do a double major and did not want any delays in my coursework (since I have a full scholarship).

I can say that, it will be like a normal semester, financially. You will be at the park, working an entry level job, say: guy who sells turkey legs, or a lifeguard, or a ride attendant.. simple things like that. (They have advanced internships for returners)

While it may seem non-prestigious (the jobs), you get to attend world class business classes (things I think will impress ibanks, like Disney World Business coursewore + Dartmouth's Tuck's Business Bridge program), and... the perks, yeah there are a lot:

50% admission to all your family and friends; you get 100% free admission everywhere. You live in a townhouse with college students from around the country/world, and you can even go clubbing every night if you wish.

So, it definitely attracted me. But remember, you have to be in Florida for a whole semester (semester + summer for the long program).

I'd say,... I had a great interview; I was upbeat and the recruiter (her name was Candy) was very enthusiastic. Importance is placed upon customer service, since you're going to fit that role. So, brush up on selling that part of yourself. I think anyone can get it if I was accepted freshman year.

But, since I declined, some other hopeful probably got the chance to go, so I'm glad =)

email me if you have any more questions about the Summer Program.

They are recruiting on my campus this week actually..

My daughter did it the fall semester of her Junior year. She loved it!! It does not pay all that much- close to minimum wage, housing is taken out of your pay check. She worked in the Magic Kingdom in quick service foods, they guarantee so many hours a week, but you can sign up for more- she also did parade duty, park greeter, lots of other things. Everyone was friendly and she made tons of friends from all over the world. Several stayed longer than the semester because it was so much fun- who doesn't like going to a theme park every day! She also took the classes and got her "Ducktorate". You have to be very serious about it, lots of kids get sent home for infractions, but overall it is a great program and looks good on a resume. She became a campus recruiter when she went back to school and earns points toward free Disney vacations. She is a finance major, so her courses were geared toward that- Disney even provided her with a mentor. They take kids with all majors. If you fit the look you can even be a character!
